Tuesday Morning Throwing Course Term 1

Service Description

This 8-week course is perfect for beginners or those with some experience looking to refine their skills. You'll learn the fundamentals of throwing on the wheel, forming cylinders, altered cylinders (mugs and vases), and bowls. The course also covers trimming techniques, handle making, and effective glazing methods to beautifully finish your pieces. More advanced throwers will have the opportunity to work on more advanced forms and techniques. From complete beginner to intermediate level, ages 14 and over. Kids aged 12 or 13 welcome if booked alongside a supporting adult also taking the course. 8 classes over 9 weeks on Tuesday mornings from 10:30am to 1:00pm. Please see session times below. All tools and up to 10kg of clay provided. Firing fees are separate from the course fee and vary based on how many pieces each student makes; current weigh and pay rates are $7 per kilo bisque and $11 per kilo glaze.
